The jinxed right hand

I displaced my right hand wrist bone 2 years back on a eerie, silent night. I cried in pain, cursed in frustration, hated the pitiful expressions around me, struggled to do my architectural deeds but most of all, I loved the spice it added to my life!

This is for those who do not know my past (!). On one bright Diwali, several years back, I was involved in a fire mishap and burnt my right hand; the scars still remind me of it.

As jinxed as I may be with my right hand, I’ve come to become an architect.

Last week, I almost came close to hurting my right hand again. I looked around and thought “why, why again?” Sometimes, when things go from bad to worse, I am certain that the entire universe is plotting against me.

I was then all set to solve this mystery. I looked at my scarred right hand and was fascinated by the scars and the glorified past. Something told me, “Your hand is destined for greatness”. I smiled to myself. What followed was an awakening conversation between that something and me. I was told that my future lies in my hands, my right hand and taking it for granted would spell trouble for me.

A penny for your thoughts…

I just got done with what I can say was the most therapeutic treatment ever – a cocoa-butter-spa-manicure!
